It's not often a story encompasses a mastodon, a brothel and speed skaters in one broad sweep. The first of several stories we're telling at Lake Ellyn does! After this panel was installed it was gratifying to watch visitors of all ages stop and read what we'd written, look carefully at the long photo-montage we created and spend time pointing out views to each other across the lake.

Working with clients to tell their story is one of the best parts of what we do. This 4' long reading rail overlooking Lake Ellyn in Glen Ellyn, Illinois was a team effort in the truest sense of the word. As a sometime associate of Bluestone + Associates, we worked with members of the Glen Ellyn Historical Society, dedicated staff of the Glen Ellyn Park District, a landscape architect from Conservation Design Forum, and an architect from Farr Associates.
