This is another in a series of illustrations created for Connie Huddleston of Interpreting Time’s Past for use at the Etowah Indian Mounds Historic Site in northwestern Georgia. Still visible today using Google earth are the remains of a historic fish dam in the Etowah River which surrounds the site on the southern side. Connie wanted an illustration showing the villagers fishing at the dam. I enlisted the help of several neighborhood kids as models. I had the children stand in our lake holding baskets in the various poses you see in the illustration.
